Biography
P.C. (Piet) de Boer was born in Leiden in 1931 and
has lived his entire life in this city in the Netherlands, also one of the favorite subjects for his art. He
is a very versatile artist, not only famous for his high quality etchings, but also paintings, sculptures and murals. His
work can be found in many private collections but also in churches and public buildings. In 2008 he published
a book "Mijn Leidse jeugdherinneringen - in woord en beeld" (Memories of my youth in Leiden - in word and view),
publisher Ginkgo - ISBN 978-90-71256-06-6, a beautiful overview of his life, work and the city of Leiden in the period around
the Second World War.
